Iași, May 30, 2024: The Iasi Open Sports Club Association enthusiastically announces the details of the 2024 edition of the Iasi Open tournaments, exceptional tennis events that will take place at the Ciric Sports Base in July. This year, tennis fans can enjoy a number of significant upgrades, an increase in the category of the women's tournament and unforgettable experiences.
MET Energy Romania becomes the main sponsor of the Concord Iasi Open: We are pleased to announce our partnership with MET Energy Romania, a company that shares our values and desire to support young tennis talents. This significant support will contribute to the growth and development of the Concord Iasi Open tournament, providing an extraordinary launching pad for young players from Romania.
Iasi Open WTA 250: A spectacular rise: With special pride we announce the increase of the women's tournament category at WTA 250. This important change will place Iasi on the international tennis map, offering Romanian fans the chance to admire players from top of the top 10 WTA. Bigger prizes, additional ranking points and increased media exposure will make the Iasi Open WTA 250 a landmark event in the women's tennis calendar.
Enhanced Fan Experience: In addition to top tennis matches, the 2024 edition of the Iasi Open will offer a wide range of memorable fan experiences:
Additional Spectator Seating: New spaces will be created to accommodate a larger number of fans eager to enjoy top quality tennis.
Covered Fan Zone: A new space will provide spectators with a sheltered place to relax, socialize and enjoy the tournament atmosphere regardless of weather conditions.
Modern player area: Modern and comfortable facilities will be created for the players, providing them with an optimal environment for training and relaxation.
Electronic Line Calling System and LIVE ELC: Both tournaments will benefit from the Electronic Line Calling system, providing accuracy and fairness in refereeing. The implementation of LIVE ELC will help streamline matches and reduce waiting times, providing a more dynamic and immersive viewing experience.
Various Activities: Shows between matches, acrobatic moments, musical moments, raffles and prizes, autograph sessions and an exhibition match will create a vibrant and fun atmosphere for the whole family.
Available subscriptions: Subscriptions to the Iasi Open tournaments are available for purchase online on Entertix.ro or in Cărturesti stores throughout the country. Due to the change in the date of the WTA 250 tournament (July 21-26), season tickets already purchased remain valid. People who cannot participate in the tournament in the new period can request a refund.
